Recipes:
LOW CARB CHILI W/STEAK AND SMOKED SAUSAGE
2 lb steak or stew meat
16 oz low fat smoked sausage
1 green pepper, diced
1 red pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 14 oz cans diced tomatoes
2 pkg. McCormick Chili Tex Mex seasoning
1 tbsp each chili powder, garlic powder and cayenne pepper powder (more or less to taste)
Unless stew meat is already cubed, cut the steak into bite-sized cubes. Heat olive oil in a 5-quart pot. Add meat, garlic powder, and chili powder. Brown on all sides. Slice smoked sausage and add to pot once the steak is browned. Add peppers, onions, tomatoes and seasoning. Add cayenne pepper for desired level of spiciness (or desired level of spitefulness!) Serves 16.
